Welcome to the Interactive
Books of Gaia:
Here you will be able to read about the history of star position
measurements - the instruments and satellites that have helped us
to explore and map the Galaxy. There are interactive models of the
Milky Way galaxy as well as simulations of the measurement principles.
You can also learn about Gaia - the satellite that ESA is planning
to launch about 2011 which will vastly expand our knowledge about
the Galaxy we live in.
These `interactive books´ are based
on the Little Books of Gaia designed by A. Colorado McEvoy.
